Truckee Tahoe Community Foundation Donation

Generous Donation to Breining Research and Education FOUNDATION

A generous donation from the Nevada County Superior Court Judges' Fund at the Truckee Tahoe Community Foundation was made to the Breining Research and Education FOUNDATION.

The Truckee Tahoe Community Foundation (TTCF) was established in March 1998 with a $1 million donation from William Hewlett. Since that time, Mr. Hewlett’s dream has been joined by thousands of permanent and part time residents committed to strengthening the Tahoe Community through philanthropy.

Through the generosity of the many people who live and vacation in Tahoe, TTCF supports hundreds of the region's best nonprofit organizations and the extraordinary people who make the community a great and beautiful place to enjoy. Since incorporating in 1998, TTCF has stewarded more than $9 million into local organizations working to improve the community.

Breining Research and Education FOUNDATION
The Breining Research and Education FOUNDATION is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, tax-exempt, public benefit corporation, dedicated to the education and research of addictions and disseminating results of that research to the public and professionals involved in the addictions field.

One of the primary methods of disseminating the results of the research on addictions by the Breining FOUNDATION is through articles published in the Breining Institute Journal of Addictive Disorders, available on-line at no cost through the Breining Institute web site. The articles published in the Journal, while copyrighted, may be copied in whole or in part, provided that the material used is properly referenced, and that the noted citations are used in full.

The Breining FOUNDATION relies on the generosity of individuals, corporations and foundations to provide the funding necessary for researchers at the Masters and Doctorate levels. The Breining FOUNDATION also receives an ongoing donation of administrative support from Breining Institute, in order that all of the funds donated from other sources go directly to the actual research and publication of the related articles.
