"As
educators specializing in addiction
counselor training and education since 1986, we are very
much aware of the value that an IC&RC certification offers
to students," says Kathy
L. Christopher, Dean
of Academic Affairs for Breining Institute. "We
are pleased with and appreciate the recognition by IC&RC,
and will continue in our efforts to provide the highest
quality education in the most accessible and affordable
manner possible to students throughout the country."

IMPORTANT NOTE:
It should be noted that this IC&RC recognition is not
intended to circumvent the ability of individual IC&RC affiliates to
make their own respective determination as to the
acceptability of any particular education program, including
those offered by Breining Institute. Recognition by IC&RC
does not guarantee that individual IC&RC affiliates will
recognize the education, or that those affiliates will not
have additional requirements or restrictions. Most IC&RC affiliates
operate their own school approval process, which often includes
an application to that respective affiliate for approval
toward their certifications. Students and candidates for
IC&RC certifications are encouraged to contact their local
board for their respective specific guidelines and
requirements. Contact information for local boards is
available through the IC&RC web site.
