SACRAMENTO, California (July 21, 2011) - The International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC) has formally recognized the Breining Institute Masters degree program as qualifying education for the IC&RC Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (AADC) certification.

With over 40,000 addiction professionals worldwide holding its credentials, IC&RC represents 75 member boards that issue IC&RC addiction professional certifications, and these boards are located in 45 U.S. States, 3 branches of the U.S. Military, 6 Native American territories, and 22 countries.

Warren Daniels, Finance Chair for IC&RC, offered his own encouraging comments: "This degree program is an absolute essential for those who want a successful career in Addiction Counseling."

In conveying his congratulations, Mr. Daniels also added a comment from his personal experience: "Earning my Masters degree in Addictive Disorders with Breining Institute is something I thought I would never accomplish. However, with the user-friendly processes and mentoring provided to me, I was able to accomplish a lifelong dream."

As a tireless advocate and long-time leader in the addiction treatment and counselor certification community, Mr. Daniels' comments are especially noteworthy. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Community Recovery Resources (CoRR), serves as Chair of the California Foundation for the Advancement of Addiction Professionals (CFAAP), served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC), served as President of the California Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (CAADAC), and was recently recognized by the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs (ADP) with the "Innovative and Effective Treatment Approach" ADP Director's Award.
