Uniform Code of Conduct
for Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Counselors
Commencing September 1, 2009, the following
California Uniform Code of Conduct will be utilized by the
State of California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs (ADP) as
a minimum standard in the enforcement of the Code of Conduct
provisions contained within the California Code of Regulations, Title 9, Chapter 8,
Section 13060. If you wish to file a complaint against a
California-certified counselor, here is a link to the ADP Complaint

Addiction professionals certified by Breining Institute will
also continue to be held to the standards contained within the respective
Codes of Ethics that apply to the applicable certification (RAS, CSC,
MCA, etc.) that the Breining-certified professionals hold.
If there
is a conflict between the provisions of the Uniform Code of Conduct
and an applicable Breining Code of Ethics,
the Uniform Code of
Conduct will be controlling for California counselors. |
